Pentax Optio W80 Digital Camera - 12.1 Megapixel The Pentax Optio W80 12.1 megapixel digital camera is not only waterproof to 5 metres and coldproof to -10° celsius, it is also shockproof to 1 metre making it the “go to” camera for people who enjoy outdoors action. Featuring an internal 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle, Pixel Track shake reduction, Face Recognition with Smile Capture and Blink Detection, Super Macro Mode, and 720p HD movie capture, you’ve got your photo and video needs covered in one compact and rugged package. RRP $399. Available in Grey only.   Movie Feature – captures video with audio up to 1280 x 720 HD resolution in 16:9 aspect ratio at 30 frames per second. Features an underwater movie mode that optimizes the image quality of movie clips captured under the water. Digital Shake Reduction functions in movie mode. Recording length is up to a file size of 2gb.   * When the Optio W80’s AV output terminal is used, movie clips are output as NTSC/PAL data. If the user wishes to play back movie clips at high-definition-TV proportions (1280 x 720 pixels), the data must be transferred to a personal computer for playback.   What are the features and how will they benefit you? Waterproof – waterproof to 5 metres. Also, if you get it muddy or spill a drink on it, just rinse off with fresh water! Coldproof – can withstand temperatures as low as -10° Celsius – perfect for skiing, snowboarding etc. Shockproof - rugged design protects against shocks from small drops of up to 1 metre. “Pixel Track” SR Digital Image Stabilisation - Reduces blur caused by camera shake or subject movement. It helps when shooting at long zoom lengths, in low-light, or if hand is unsteady.  28mm Wide Lens – Fit more in the picture with a wide lens. Great for group shots, landscapes, architecture or any situation where you need to capture more of the image. Face Recognition - automatically detects faces (up to 32) and focuses on them (rather than just focusing somewhere in the centre).  It also sets the exposure so that faces don't get darkened when there is bright light in the background. Smile Capture & Blink Warning – in this mode once shutter button is pressed the camera will detect when somebody in the frame smiles and then take a picture. Also gives you a warning if subject blinks so you can immediately re-shoot. Super Macro Mode - take stunning close-ups as near as 1cm away from subject Auto Tracking AF – continuously focuses on a moving subject. Auto Picture Mode - automatically selects the most appropriate shooting mode for a given subject or scene by detecting the subject’s lighting and other conditions (from Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, Night Scene Portrait, Flower, Sport, Standard and Candlelight modes). Also features an auto macro mode, which automatically switches the camera’s focus range to macro in close-up applications.
